Audubon

I went to Loyola, so Audubon is the neighborhood where I really started to fall in love with New Orleans architecture. I used to go on runs and rather than stay in the park (which is beautiful), I'd run the neighborhood streets just to look at the houses. Grand Uptown center-halls, old oaks, well-kept lots. It has the grandeur of the Garden District but feels a little more grounded, a little more lived-in. My fiancé and I still come back for picnics at the Fly and afternoons at the Tree of Life.

The St. Charles streetcar runs right through, Loyola and Tulane are right there, and the whole corridor connects easily to the rest of the city.

This neighborhood suits buyers who want green space, walkability, and proximity to the universities or the medical corridor, and it's a strong investment for anyone thinking about faculty or student housing. If you want grandeur without the Garden District price tag, Audubon is worth a close look.
